No. NXTN works entirely through WhatsApp, which your customers already have. They scan a QR code and the conversation happens in WhatsApp — no downloads, no signups, no friction.
They can still join the queue. The QR code and ticket number work as a fallback — staff can look them up by ticket code. Customers can also use the Customer Portal — a personal web dashboard at /my/{token} that shows their queue status, credits, bookings, and receipts. OTP-verified, no app required. WhatsApp simply adds real-time push notifications on top.
A personal web dashboard each customer can open from any browser. They receive a permanent /my/{token} link via WhatsApp after their first visit, verify ownership with a 6-digit OTP, and stay signed in for a year via a secure cookie. The portal shows their active queue tickets, credit balance, upcoming bookings, in-motion orders, and recent receipts — all branded with the venue's logo and primary color. Non-shareable: a stolen link can't be used without the OTP code sent to the original phone.
Yes — every completion captures the bill amount, tip, and payment method, then mints a receipt that can be sent as a WhatsApp text, a PDF document, or a branded public web page (/receipt/{code}). Tax rate, VAT number, service charge, business address, and footer text are all configurable. Spending totals roll up into the customer's guest profile so you can see their lifetime value at a glance.
Yes. Every customer phone number builds a Guest Profile in the background: visit count, no-show rate, average rating, preferred seating, typical party size, total spend, social handles, birthday, and free-text staff notes. Auto-tags (New, Returning, Regular, VIP, Frequent, High Spender, Fan, Unreliable) are computed from behavior, not staff data entry. Optional People Data Labs enrichment fetches public social info via a tenant-configured API key. The platform also collects Instagram and birthday from customers themselves via a one-time WhatsApp prompt after their first visit.
